Eh, you're obviously not messing with us specifically because we're not the ones trying to drain inadequate scraps of information out of moronic thugs. Messing with Mercy mercilessly right up until her embarrassing death is called a plot... and fiction usually benefits greatly from having something like that.

I spent too much time as a GM when I was younger. My desire to see a character die is exponentially proportional to how fleshed out their personality, background, social network, quirks, history and overall character is. Mercy pings my, "Kill them now and get them to make a new character!" instincts.

Uh, did Mercy let them live? If so, I'll forgive her--this time.
I do get the feeling that Mr. Dreads is going to regret his impetuousness in sending two incompetent goons to harass Mercy. Who knows, she may even introduce him to a whole NEW type of "dread". ^^

Two dead junkies? In HAVENSPORT? Yeaaah, think of the commotion THAT would raise. :P
MUCH better to have them stumbling around babbling about blue light and dark sunglasses...
Although, now that I think of it. THAT wouldn't be all that noteworthy there, either.
