Personally, I get the feeling that Pogo might have been less surprised if she had just barged in the door.

And just now, as I'm typing this, I realized that Mercy comes across a little bit "vampire", with the "invite me in". I promise you, she's not a vampire.

I'd say less "vampire" and more "heavily flirtatious" especially with that look.

There is a reason for that look... :)

Got an error on the page, Prof.

Second panel word dialogue should read: "Mercy!" as in the Southern Baptist expression of passion "lawd have MERCY".

Also, did you catch the name of Pope Francis's book?

1) He's stunned to see her after what either of them might term "all this time".

2) Oh... well... (about the book).

I think I see what you mean with the vampire thing, there is something creepy with Mercy ..?

Still haven't any clear grasp on what is going on here, but I guess that's the point. In any case, I like it how things leads back to Ghoul..

She's not necessarily the kind you take home to meet the family... And she has a touch of the dark about her...

Things will get clearer as we go. Especially as we get to Ghoul...

(One thing I want to get across here is that our main eyes and ears in the story don't necessarily know what's going on. We're getting information as they are.)

So after the last time, I'm pretty suspicious of random writing on things being song quotes...

My best guess is Sex Pistols (I cheated, I used Google to help);

We're the flowers in the dustbin
We're the poison in your human machine
We're the future, your future

But it's missing a line best I can tell, so I'm not sure...

You are correct on the source. The lyrics ARE slightly misquoted... purposefully, by me. The person writing it did so in a state of great inebriation. If you could see the rest, you would see that they later scribbled in the rest as best they could.

I like these little touches... :)

(There are a number of things writing on the walls is likely to be, and song lyrics are among them.)

"...not a vampire...:? Killjoy.

And, yeah, Pogo's eyes are blue. They were blue in the group shot earlier, too--no big deal.

Uh-oh... I have his eyes looking green on my monitor... (Pink and green as a color combination is a nod to Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols). Crap.

Wow, I knew I had got a bit behind reading this (and many other) comic, but not THIS far!

I love the subtleties of body stance you have been putting in to your characters recently. The first panel here is a perfect example - her posture and stance shows exactly the tone in which she is speaking. Love it!

Good to have you back on board (as opposed to bored in the back). :P

Thanks! Using only three panels for what might be able to be more, I have to get the most across with every bit. Body language is my friend (when it's not making the characters look like demented marionettes).
