The 5th Street Diner; talk about "up all night for no good reason".
The diner is a place where the passage of time seems random. You look at your watch, and 5 minutes have passed, the next time, 5 hours.
I will say this though, the "everything fried" platter is to die for... if it doesn't kill you.

...some MiBs may have gotten to my report here...

It's one of those things. If/when it takes off, it'll be huge. Until then, though...

Awww...I'd read it, too! I bet it'd be interesting.:D I wonder if anyone actually would go hunt down Benny. Maybe if it went viral...Heh~

"LEAVE BENNY ALONE!"

Heh...

Well, there's TWO readers. He just doubled his readership!

I'll bet Benny is a lot harder to hunt down than anyone would assume... I wouldn't want to do it, not even with a bag full of flashbangs.

Aw, what's to be nervous about, lirv? It's not like there's a tell-tale sparkly glow in his vicinity... :P

He's a Vietnam combat vet? Maybe a former tunnel rat? Yeah, the sparklies are frosting on that cake-o-pain.

I cant believe I never responded to this one. Confirmed on the tunnel rat. That may or may not have been responsible for his current condition (finding the wrong thing in a tunnel Over There - or was it the right thing?)

Looks like I wasn't the only one digging through archives last night.

Tunnel fighting--that's probably the most nightmarish duty I could imagine, BTW.

Ah, the ambition of a blogger who wants to make the best work he can, yet has a woefully small readership. Soldier on, fella!

You know how it is. When you're getting something like that going (a blog or, I don't know, a webcomic), you know acutely the sting of "I want/need/crave more readers. Why isn't EVERYONE reading?"

Mmmm. Onion Rings. or small doughnuts. Either way. Mmmm.

I think leaving Benny out is a good idea. There'd be somebody investigating if they knew there were people living down there.

They're onion rings. But now I want small donuts...

Leaving Benny out really IS the smart thing... there are multiple reasons why.

I can only imagine what sort of random things he's found to blog about in Autumn Bay when we're not looking. After all, the city is deeply layered.

Ooh yes, a retro-esque diner! NOW we're talking! This is my natural environment!

(also I hate to be the one to point this out, but there's "definiftely" a typo in the first panel)

Wow... I'm kind surprised it got this far. Good catch!

And I have mentioned this in other comments, but Autumn Bay has a strong sense of nostalgia. There are a lot of trends that never really died there, if you know where to look.

lol that's my response when people find out i make webcomics. "i mean... SOME people read it xD" nice job, prof! sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to this, but given the structure of your story i wanted to wait until there was a bit more to read at once. take it all in as it were. i'll be finishing it tomorrow xD i rather like it so far, man. good job :3
Professor Etheric 16th Mar 2016, 1:06 AM edit delete reply

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it, Fig. That means a lot, given the level you've been operating at.

Take your time, man. We'll be here!
