One of the reasons why I love your comic: There is a crowd scene, and they are all named characters!!! Complete with backstories and stuff!!

My first question would be: "Does he know how to recognize these particular feelings as opposed to a chill draft or a touch of vertigo from standing up too quickly?" This type of thing is VERY subjective, and it's rare for two people to have the same experience, or to be able tell someone else exactly what to look for.

Is it contradictory or not to reach altered states under these circumstances? The fact that most of this crowd appears to be practicing mages suggests that psychedelic assistance might help them keep an eye out.

It is a fact in Autumn Bay that altered states of consciousness are, in fact, often a gateway to cosmic truths.

Most of them are practicing mages only in that they participate in rituals. Only a few have any real talent or power to speak of...
