Through various means, each of these people is "clued in" to the greater workings of the paranormal in Autumn Bay.
For instance, April Anne is an adept (or sorcerer, if you'd like), and they are naturally aware of these things.
Father William is a trained exorcist, and has learned to tell when something isn't right.
As for Edward, well... That one comes later. :)

The first, of course, is Edward Chapel, last seen being grilled by and grilling Kadira.
With him, of course, is his valet/bodyguard Quentin Harcourt.
In the second panel, we see April Anne Price, who we last saw closing the cracks in reality along with the rest of the Children of Gaea, then partying at the old Mason House.
