Three women, three styles of magic, one purpose...

Now, we have had a glimpse, but what do you suppose these three will uncover that, perhaps, might have been obscured?

And remember, if you like what we're doing here, and want to show your support for the comic, you can always vote for Autumn Bay at Top Web Comics. You'll even get an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek at a future strip!

Note: Thanks to a thoroughly messed up day, I accidentally posted the wrong page earlier. Some of you got a Glimpse at things to come. Sorry about that. Some of the notes go to the next page, in actuality.

Hehehe. Dr. Simon Nester really is such an insanely badass and creepy name, all at the same time. Gosh I love the layout and pretty effects~~

Thanks, 'biscuit!

There is actually a funny story about the name and the character and all... I can't tell all of it, but I will tell you some.

I had a rule once upon a time that whenever I started drawing in a new sketchbook, I would re-draw something (or, more often, someONE) from the previous sketchbook. Dr. Nestor was one of two to carry over into a third (the other being a certain cosmic trickster).

What were the four classes of magic users from Bard's Tale? Sorcerer, Conjurer, Wizard, and Magician?

I did some tidying up of my previous comments, but I made sure to save them for later. I'm sure they'll be just as valid. You might want to look to your responses to my comments because without context, they may just sound insane.

Mmmm..delicious glow effects... :)

Here in Autumn Bay, we like to ensure that our glow effects are only the tastiest. Blue glows typically come in the flavors of spearmint, blueberry, and really good artificial raspberry. :)

Okay I think I'm getting a little bit of the workings of how magic works in the 'bayverse.

Bibliomancy is an awesome word!

There are layers, but there are also fundamental concepts. More will be revealed in time! :)

And I love the various forms of 'mancy. Bibliomancy is fun, but so is dipsomancy. :P

This seems fitting, since one of the earliest forms of Autumn Bay was tabletop roleplaying.

Although the term 'tabletop' should be used loosely here. More like 'floortop'. Moments filled with the good, the bad and the ugly. XD

Oh nono nooo they'll mess up everything, including time. Or, most of all, time. But yay sparkly eyes :P

Professor Etheric
Yes. in doing what they are about to do, on top of what's going on, they accidentally broke time for a small stretch and allowed the future to leak into the present...

Sparkly eyes are definitely a show of power in Autumn Bay. :)

An don't fear. You WILL see the "wrong" page next update (when it's the right page)! :D

Re: Page title.

Have they, in any time (past present or possible futures), walked into a bar and hilarity ensued?

Multiple Choice Reply!

Pick one:

A) They are all of legal drinking age and this is Autumn Bay. Of course that happened. Happens all the time. (Though Sophie does not often drink.)

B) I was thinking of a C.S. Lewis book when I named the page, because the cadence was right. This does not preclude the possibility of your exact scenario.

C) What is this, a cheap joke? (Don't answer that. My ego is fragile sometimes... :P )

D) Any and/or all of the above!

We will return to the local Magic: the Gathering players shortly. (Hint: they also explore things.)

(Seriously, that is canonically one of their activities - specifically the Commander format.)

Um, Sophia? Some hidden things are hidden for a good reason. Insanity is only one of the lesser results of seeing "That which should not be seen". O.o

On the other hand, nothing ventured, nothing advances the plot. ^^
