It pays to keep your knapsack, backpack, purse, pockets, and/or trunk well stocked. Even if the choices are a little odd...

He should look if he can download the Necronomicon as PDF file somewhere - he could put it on his tablet, and thus save the weight of the book! :-D

Nah, the paperback copy has the right combination of kitsch and mysticism. :)

Ha ha maybe he'd have had better luck with a towel.

Who needs a towel when you have a rad scarf? A little less Ford Prefect, a little more Fourth Doctor... :)

A pocket Necronomicon with all the important stuff taken out?

Reader's Digest strikes again. ><

There have been several attempts in the mass-market to reproduce "the" Necronomicon. I had one when I was younger (because it was a "forbidden" thing, and I was trying to be edgy).

The idea of Reader's Digest putting out an expurgated version of Al Azif makes me giggle, though. :)

But what kind of dice were they? The common six-sided variety or something a lot more...

I would like to say they were something wonky like d6's with only five sides or something fun like the much-maligned d12, but alas, they are simply regular (if casino-certified) dice...

That's some Batman-level preparedness. Especially since the magic can be used to make Felixarangs and Felixmobiles, right?

Nothing so "superhero", sadly. What he CAN do is set up some wicked three-card monty, invoke chaos, and really push the bounds of what should be possible...
