Time for a confession. I slightly altered the female MiB's hairstyle, specifically her bangs, because I was not fond of how it looked previously.

Do you get the feeling that Felicia's favorite phrase is "people have a right to the truth"?

I kinda love her for it.

Also, the page title was influenced by this song.

I see this exchange getting a lot less verbal in the next couple pages.

A passive-aggressive way for Felicia to proceed would be the write about the link between cats and ancient Egyptian-derived occultism, and about senior citizens who happen to be mad scientists. ;-)

...part of that is a little scary. Are you reading my notes? Because you are really close to [REDACTED}

The link between cats and ancient Egyptian occultism will be touched upon later, and explored in detail in a future season.

Huh, what can I say? Even a broken clock is right twice a day...

But... What if this just seems to be their usual "stop snooping around, or else" spiel, but actually they are trying to navigate Felicia onto a more fruitful investigation path...?

Simply offer "assistance" and subtly steer her towards carefully prepared cover stories.
I am totally not a villain advisor or anything! Promise! ;)

In current times having American federal agents "disappear" anyone getting close to an uncomfortable truth is hitting home further and further each day. Then again, world affairs these days read like something Nesariel would love...

I will refer you to the current volume of Let It Ride for how close /scary things can get. This is the cuddly-friendly version... :)

BTW, when we wrote this, we were still under the impression that our 45th president would have XX chromosomes...

Aaaahahahaha I see, the "we just don't want any panic" method. Always works. Well, probably not here in this case.

I can't deny she has the most perfect name for a cat author though o.O

The kind of people that try to keep things secret usually have a reason to do it...

Yes, Felicia is a cat-lady name. But she's not the big cat lady in Autumn Bay (we'll see her later...)
