Now that I know what to look for as per reflections, it would seem that indeed he DOES know that name, and has just lost a measure of arrogant condescension. (Or perhaps she lit her cigarette with her finger and impressed him.) ^^
Speaking of reflections, Dr. Nestor in one lens, smoke in the other--priceless. :)

My favorite part about this page is the reflection of Nestor in Mercy's shades. It's the perfect mix of demented and the look of a man who has unleashed something he didn't expect.
I want your ability to make things glow in art. Teach me your secrets? Gorgeous magic, as always.
Mercy, is now REALLY the time for a cigarette? Oh, wait, addict, never mind. -_-
Although it DOES add to her 'I could take you down with my pinky' façade, so it's not all bad.

Reflections in glasses are a time-honored effect, and one I try to emulate at any applicable point. :)
How do you make things glow? For digital art, it's really a matter of a strong airbrush affect and a technique derived from pointalism and Kirby crackle. I could be called an airbrush addict...
For Mercy, ANY time is time for a cigarette. :)

Do you suppose Mercy can keep Dr. Nestor occupied long enough for Sophie to do her thing?
