A big mess? Welcome to Autumn Bay, man. :)
There are levels and levels behind all sorts of things. You never quite know what threads, when pulled, are going to unravel which bits of the tapestry. Sometimes, it's hard to know who your friends are, or who the good guys are in a scenario. Other times it couldn't be more clear.
So yes, this gang was recruited by the Church of the Starry Wisdom. These things happen. :)

FIVE Shoggoths? That doesn't leave much room for the "I don't know what's going on, but I want to belong to SOMETHING!" crowd. I was expecting a larger gang with a core group and lots of expendable extras. :)
Tweedledee and Tweedledumber obviously weren't Shuggoths themselves, or Mercy would have picked up on the location sooner.
And, no, I'm not disappointed--just a little surprised. ^^

I will tell you that they were a lot of fun to design. :)
And as much fun as it would be to stay and play with them, it looks like Mercy found another part of the bigger puzzle. Yes, the Shoggoths are the ones who have been putting a lot of those flyers up...
